Buying a life policy is a major decision, which usually accompanies major changes in your life. Most people buy life insurance when they get married, or buy a home, or have kids, or when other life changing events take place.

Because so much is happening, it is easy to overlook the complexity of the subject when purchasing your first policy. But those who take the time to learn more usually end up saving a lot of money on their premiums, simply by knowing what coverage they need, and what they can do without.
