 Comprehensive Major Medical

Comprehensive Major Medical (CMM) is our most traditional coverage plan. It provides benefits for hospital, medical/surgical and major medical services.

With CMM coverage, your employees:

  •        Have incentives to contain costs through deductible and coinsurance provisions, which the employees are responsible for satisfying. (Copayment amounts may be chosen by large groups.)
  •        Are encouraged to use participating Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield providers. These providers have agreed to accept our settlement as payment in full for covered services, once any applicable deductible, coinsurance (and/or copayment) amounts are paid by the member.
  •        Are responsible for receiving Wellmark's written prior approval for certain services.
